So good. Saw a lot of my own insecurities in here. This seems like the kind of book i would write myself as a healing experience. Just the pacing was a bit weird at times and threw me off.

I was surprised by how much I loved this story. In large part, it was because I love Takumi and Alice. They are sweet, charming characters who I squeed about constantly. I loved seeing a romantic relationship develop without the asexuality changing. I related wholeheartedly to the conflicts between Alice and her friends. Though the resolution between them wasn't satisfying perse, I still really enjoyed it.

I've never read a romantic comedy or a book with an asexual protagonist. I was nervous because the book was super hyped by the asexual community and I didn't want to be left feeling disappointed.

I loved this book. It touched on a lot of fears with dating as an asexual, but Alice also had other relatable issues with family and friendships. Alice's asexuality is a huge part of who she is, but it is not the only thing. I like that the author made that clear.

The romance was silly and even cheesy at times, but it felt organic. Takumi was very kind and honest in his lack of understanding of asexuality, which I respect. The fact that they both
admitted that they didn't know if it would work, but trying anyway,
gave me hope for romance.

A sweet, funny, and meaningful book with top-tier Ace representation. The love story is cute, the topic of asexuality is presented in a deep and nuanced way, and there's also an exploration of platonic friendships and familial relationships.
The main character is Alice, an Ace Black woman who falls in love with a boy and, very relatably, questions her sexuality all over again. She also brings forward the important and difficult topics of the hypersexualisation of Black people and of racial discrimination in general, challenging them headfirst and pushing the reader to think. She perfectly represents the confusion of being in a world that sees you as an inherently sexual being when you, in fact, are not.
Overall, a must-read Queer book with a great set of characters, a meaningful message, and a lot of fun too.

I enjoyed this book. Alice is a Black ace girl in college trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life. I really enjoyed this book being set in college because I feel like a lot of ace/aro representation takes place in high school. Her relationship with Takumi is wholesome and I like how they both help each other. I like how the story also prioritized Alice's relationship with her friends. Often times I feel like stories downplay the importance of platonic relationships. Overall Claire Kann does a great job writing believable relationships in my opinion.
