What can I say about this book. Well firstly I loved it, I really really did. It was so unbelievably detailed and you could honestly see everyone in the book. Now I am one of those people who saw Christian Bale as Patrick Bateman in the book as I was reading it because I saw the film first. But after a while he honestly changed from that after some of the actions and killings.
.
I honestly had to take a break from this books after the kid in the zoo. That's the scene that shocked me the most in the book

rip jean and patrick u had zero potential but i miss you
this is one of my favorite books ever i think. for such a disturbed book, maybe only 10% of it is gory but the gore is stomach turning. what is most fascinating is the banality of evil in it.
ellis is a fantastic writer making even more “mundane” moments fast and intriguing. one of my favorite moments is pat, mcdermott, and hamlin talking on the phone about dinner reservations. it was so funny.
one day i fell asleep while reading this book and dreampt i was still reading it and made up new plot lines in my head. kinda weird

This book was AWFUL. I quit at about 10% because I was sick of reading about privileged rich men, spoiled rich women and their name brands. It was nothing like what I expected. Major disappointment.
