The book was so boring and then all of a sudden on pg 250 it gets really dark. I think the movie did a better job of showing the ending and the way he questioned his sanity. There was way too much world building over and over throughout the book and it felt like barely any plot. 

I’ve never found something as uncomfortable to read as I found this…yet I also haven’t enjoyed something as much in a while now. Ellis somehow makes you like Bateman despite him being the sickest fuck ever?? The satire is hilarious and the yuppie interactions priceless
