I enjoyed this book so much more than the first one in this series. Maybe Riley and Emerson are starting to grow on me. Maybe the addition of Vernon added to the humor. The story line isn't very believable, but it was a fun read.

I liked the Hawaii & National Park facts.....otherwise I found the humor to be pretty juvenile. I am not a fan of Evanovich's newest work...

It's good/okay. Too similar to Fox and O'Hare series which I prefer over this one. That being said it is still entertaining and fast pace.

Vernon is LuLu. This story is fantastical. None of the funny parts landed with me.

I’m not sure if my reading taste has changed or if I’m more aware but I didn’t care for the book. There was a lot of offensive dialogue about some of the characters. Some of the dialogue was was in my opinion. I don’t remember that being an issue in other series but it really bothered me in this book. The plot itself was kind of interesting and comedic which I enjoyed. But I don’t think I’ll be reading any more of this series.

When a monk comes to Emerson having "lost" his island, Emerson, his cousin Vernon, the Monk, and of course Moon begin a search that leads them to mantle volcanoes, the US National Park system, exotic matter all creating a crazy adventure. I thought this one was even more fun than the first.

I can't stop myself from continuing to read Evanovich's books. I've been a fan of hers since Is tarted reading the Stephanie Plum series, probably around 10 years ago.

Although this is a new series and has all new elements, Evanovich's classic writing style is still there. There's a lot of hilarity and unbelievable situations in the book.

One thing with this one that I didn't always connect with, was all the scientific terms and explanations. It was a bit much for me to take in. Its required to explain whats happening in the story but it was just a bit much for me. At the same time it didn't confuse me or anything, it was just a lot o technical info I suppose.

I find Emerson to be a fairly weird yet slightly charming and funny character. Riley is typical of Evanovich's heroine, with the strange things always happening to her and the weird chemistry/relationship with the main male characters.

I sped through this in a day, and I will probably continue the series because I can't help myself, but Evanovich's writing isn't the same for me anymore. It doesn't hold the same punch. But I would still recommend, because something always keeps drawing me back to her books and continuing whichever series it is that she's currently releasing a book for.

These are such guilty pleasures. ( All Janet books) the story lines are crazy, always a love angle and crazy characters. I feel they are all starting to feel the same but I still love them!

Implausible doomsday plot? Check. Lovably quirky heroes? Check. Nefarious Park Rangers? I always knew they were up to something.

If you are looking for a serious thriller mystery, this is not the book for you. If you are looking for an absurdly fun adventure ride a la James Bond or National Treasure, this might be the one for you.

I listened to this one and the narrator, Lorelei King, was as wonderful as always.

I listened to this one and I think that was a mistake because Lorelei King narrates and she also does Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum books, so I kept thinking I was listening to Stephanie Plum rather than Riley Moon. I loved the first book in the series so I think for book 3 I'll go back to reading rather than listening.
