Classic Grisham - engaging characters, a fun story, legal topics. Not quite as unpredictable or surprising as other Grisham books, but fun nonetheless.
medium-paced

Interesting book, but definitely not his best. The ending was a little too all is well and nothing bad ever happened...

Finished this book this morning and I'm still not quite sure how to rate it. It is a pleasant read with a number of laugh out loud moment. The characters are fantastic and very engaging. I just wish they had been set in a better plot. The book is engaging while readin but once you set it down there really isn't a driving plot to make you want to pick it back up (could just be me I'm reading parts of about 4 non fiction books with nothing hooking me right now). I guess I was expecting a riveting court room thriller and this is more a detailed romp with 4 delightful characters as they muddle through a case of being in over their head. Loved the court scenes in the last 10% that was what I was expecting. 3.75 out of 5 stars. Glad I read it.

I went in skeptical as it's not my typical read, but I thoroughly enjoyed this book--in terms of tone and style. It's a legal drama (drama, I suppose) but I found it quite humorous, in a good way. Enjoyed the main characters and their interaction and the plot and its developments. If you like legal yarns, or just a well told story, I'd recommend "The Litigators." Based on this, I will try more Grisham.

I actually really liked this one; it was a nice, light, easy read. I've started getting tired of Grisham novels, more so since becoming an attorney, but this one was funny and I enjoyed the characters.

Well this Grisham book wasn't as up to par as all his others.. I really just didnt feel it all the way through.. Its like he took parts of all his other books and mashed them into a new book, slapped a new title and cover on it and wham, here it is.. I own it but wont read it again..

was a good read that showed a different side of law

It was good! I would definitely read more by Grisham if they were all that good!

I liked this one for the most part. This wasn't really a legal thriller or anything and kind-of started to drag in the middle, but I liked the ending and the characters were endearing despite their incredible faults. It kept my interest but it's not one I would read again.
