Unfortunately I just didn't connect with any of the characters, didn't particularly like the protagonist, couldn't follow the story with any interest. I ended up skimming most of it. I just didn't care!

I was listening to the audiobook and it just didn't hold my attention enough for me to keep going back to it. I'd probably have better luck with a physical copy.

I enjoyed this book but the pacing is definitely off. I think with the world building set up, future books will be better, however.
