I have received this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

In Hidden Seams, Marco has just inherited a billion after ten years of selling his reputation, and realizes now just how lonely he really is. Avery works with money laundering, trying to get enough money to support the immigrant women who depend on her to find shelter and a decent job. She is determine if the man who used to publicly date Marco was his father, and he is determined to not let her ruin his legacy. When they meet, however, the intense passion between them is something they can’t fight.

I had read The Ghostwriter a month or so ago and I was SO impressed that I immediately added this book to my TBR. I hardly ever read erotica, but in the spirit of broadening my reading, I requested this book and was very excited when it got approved! This story is so sexy, steamy and made my face go scarlet when I was reading it in public transport. It was so addictive I almost finished in one day.

However, a lot of the plot parts felt too rushed or required a bit of forgiving characters for being so obnoxious. I had some problem with the rudeness of Marco and how he just throws money at everything (but then again, if I were a billionaire, maybe I’d do that, too). But in any case, I really liked Avery! She was so strong, yet human and vulnerable.

The romance was SO rushed, but it didn’t feel out of place in the novel at all. Was rather sweet how both developed feelings so quickly, in my opinion. The sex scenes were really well done and so sexy! I will definitely read more from Alessandra Torre!

I actually did the audio book on this one. A couple things you have to know. One I pretty much normally hate audio books. I want to like them but normally I don't. Normally I hate the women's voices and I hate the woman's voices doing that man's voice. But I had to use my credits and I picked this one and was really good. it was done in duet style narration so it was like a play, where everyone does their own part. So no woman doing a man's voice, no man doing a woman's voice. If they were in scene together there was the perfect back and forth. Plus I didn't mind this female narrator's voice at all. So right there that is saying something because I am picky as hell. You should run out right now and buy the audio book. Btw I might have listened to it floating in my pool :)-.

Ok So Let's address the 2nd thing you have to know. The author. Alessandra Torre. I'm a fan. But I read The Ghost Writer last year and seriously that was perfection. I was literally afraid to read one more book from her because she had totally outdone herself on that book. I was thinking she just can't keep putting out good book after good book. But by god, this lady can. I swear to goodness, it doesn't matter what she writes it is always good, and interesting and always goes in a direction I never expect. Was this anything like The Ghost Writer? Not even a tiny little bit. It was 100% completely different and I totally enjoyed every little bit of it. It had humor (mostly from Avery). It was just a straight up interesting, well written, well narrated (please every author do duet narration btw) book. This author just has a freaking gift. She could probably write and publish her stinking grocery list and I would probably buy it, because somehow she would find a way to make it interesting and unique.

So yeah highly recommended this book and just about anything from this author.
