I’m so sad that this series is ending. This is amazing read that read in one setting. The care and love through out this story will melt your heart. This is a must read.

She was like a gift from heaven destined to join me in hell, and I think hell suited her better, despite the sunshine she always radiated.

I really really do love the Rebels of Sandland. I am in a serious book hangover now.

This closure was what I need it.
The story of Zak broke me.
He is a survivor. He struggles with his body’s image.
Morgan is here with all her burden and they will find healing in each other.

Reckless Lies is the final book in the Rebels of Sandland series. It can be read as a standalone, but reading the other books in the series is advised.

It’s set 5 years after Fractured Minds/The Psycho.

This is was great story to send this series! It’s packed with all the emotions and angst! I love Zak and his issues surrounding his trauma - how he’s coped with the fallout of the accident that left him scarred for life and finding his sunshine in a world of darkness.

Zak’s story is one packed full of emotions that will shatter your heart and bring you to your knees with how real his pain feels. The things Zak endures while trying to heal physically took a brutal toll on him and his mentality. It was a long and hard road to get where he is now, and it cost him his peace of mind and sense of belonging. He cuts himself off from the world to hide in the shadows afraid to step into the light.

Fear of being treated differently he essentially has become a recluse, until his friends really badger him enough to show up for important things, like Finn’s wedding. The wedding where things start to change for Zak when Morgan slowly starts to seep into his world. When these two come together Zak slowly starts to see himself changing, but is it enough to let all his walls crumble down? My heart broke so many times when he showed us his pain and the way he saw himself because there is so much more to him.

Yes, this is mostly about Zak because everyone deserves to dive into his story and fall in love with him without spoilers, but also because he stole my heart and carried this book for me. Morgan wasn’t a bad character; she was a lot to take in sometimes. She was in your face not taking no for an answer kind of person (but not the fun Adam kind of way), which isn't bad every now and then, but way too often she pushed boundaries too many times and too far that it made me angry for Zak (I grew very protective of him). I know she was just trying to get him out of his shell, but it also seemed like she had a hidden agenda to trap him into needing her because she liked him for so long and she was looking for forgiveness rather than love (that's just me and how I felt with her at times). It was hard for me to relate to her and when her secrets came out, not going to lie, I felt like Brandon, not a fan. I felt the reasons behind them were weak and just that, an excuse of she didn't know better. If Zak hadn’t been head over heels in love with her, I probably would have hated her.

Overall, this story is incredibly steamy, like off all the charts hot, but it was the emotions of finding beauty in the pain and overcoming such hardships to step into the light that made me fall in love.

What a read, my heart loves Zak even more. I love it so much that I couldn't put it down. I laughed, cried, and had my heart broken a bit. Must read. More than five stars. I am sad the series is over with

Reckless Lies by Nikki J Summers is a new adult romance and the fourth and final instalment in the Rebels of Sandland series.  Each book can be read as a standalone, however the books are interconnected so I would highly recommend reading them in order.

I absolutely love Nikki's books! She does an amazing job pulling you into the story and making you feel the characters emotions. I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Zak and Morgan. It was messy but you couldn't help but root for them. I loved getting both of their points of views throughout the story. It really brought the story to life.

I would recommend this book if you like new adult romances or contemporary romances.

Now that was an amazing ending to an even more amazing series!

I have been waiting for Zak’s book to get all the answers I needed about the fire.
And his story did not disappoint.

Zak’s had always been someone I was interested in knowing more about him. You get taste of him in the other books but you never really know much about him. With this taking place 5 years after the fire, you get the heartbreaking facts of how he has dealt with the hand he was delivered. I was so sad for him, could only imagine how he has felt with his body image issues. But I was also wondering who would be the one to help him see his worth.

Morgan was another character that I always wondered what happened to her. You never got anything other than what happened in the first book. So I was very surprised it was her story we got. I always wondered if she was in the group chat talking with Harper (from book 2).

All the twists and turns in this one will definitely leave you shocked, I know I was! But Zak’s and Morgan’s story was heartbreakingly beautiful. I am so sad to see this series end, it is a top favorite one for me.
