Ehh this was ok. Overall it just didn’t do it for me. I don’t really know why. I think I found the writing to be a little cheesy? There were also so many characters and it was hard for me to stay engaged and interested. I don’t know what it was just this just didn’t impress me

Harlan Coben does it again, with a riveting novel of loss, acceptance, and of course government conspiracy. Our hero begins investigating the deaths of several friends from high school after he determines they might be linked to the death of his brother, and to his brother's fascination with the old, abandoned army base in their town. He lost the love of his life that night, too - but what exactly happened? This novel kept me on the edge of my seat and I could not put it down.

It’s a Coben with momentum and a decent mystery. I’m not sure the mystery and the reveals is always as plausible as Coben makes them seem, and I’m not sure that this protagonist doesn’t feature too much of the snarky attitude of say, a famous sports agent he’s used to writing, but it’s comfortable enough reading that you’re enjoying the ride even if you’ve been down this Coben expressway before. You know the turns.
