Read during a time of family grief. Such a great look at grief. I felt many of the thoughts on grieving and how to connect to ourselves, our grief and others was so powerful.

This is a short, but profound book that demands a slow read. Francis Weller is an important guide into the underworld of grief. He is inviting a restored “faith in grief” as a path to aliveness, belonging, and connection to the planet. I will return to this book, especially the first few chapters, as a spiritual companion to my soul. The self-compassion exercise at the back of the book brought me to tears. Highly recommended book, and one that will speak uniquely each time you read it.
