I don’t think I’ve devoured a book like this in quite sometime. It has a great balance of emotions, levity mixed in with some heavier moments, bittersweetness, and the complexities of romance. The characters felt real and well-developed.
When this was sold to me as queer twilight for Jacob girlies I was curious and FUCK did it deliver! It gave me all the vibes I wanted but with incredible writing! It took me on an emotional roller coaster, I was laughing aloud, crying, swooning, experiencing heartbreak and falling in love! The found family in this book was done so beautifully, I was so deeply invested in the bonds and the love! I also want to say props to this author for doing the ex girlfriend justice! I won’t spoil it, but if you hate a jealous ex trope this book is for you! The way TJ Klune showcased how relationships can change and evolve into something different yet still be valid and beautiful was just breathtaking! Love love love! Also he writes badass women
