so intense and the dynamic between jamie and charlotte got me hooked from the very beginning. extremely slow burn but i adore the angst between them. the mystery (and book itself) was quite a lot darker than expected, and i found it super interesting

I didn't realize that this was an AU because I never quite read the synopsis but it's set in a world where Holmes and Watson were real and Arthur Conan Doyle was the literary agent who published Watson's stories. This leads to every generation of Watsons and Holmes to be pushed together and be friendly, and the Moriartys are always kicking around looking for trouble. Thid book is what BBC Sherlock wanted to be. There are a couple of brief mentions of sexual assault but nothing too detailed.
