The fairy tale you didn't know you needed.

Dr Larson 'Belle' doesn't want anything to do with the 'beast' of a man that has been hired as the new security guard at Bayside Regional.  She doesn’t have time in her life for a charming, "sexy as sin" man in uniform. Their first meeting leaves her flustered.  His particular brand of charm is more suited for a club, not a hospital.  Yet, neither can seem to resist the heat that sparring with each other ignites.

When her coworkers notice, they place the idea in her head that a "no strings" fling with Dane might just be what the doctor ordered.  This could be her cure for everything.  An easy fix to work the kinks out.  Shouldn't be a problem, but what do you do when once isn't enough?

These two have pasts that affect their present.  Holding on too tight, makes it difficult to enjoy.  They will have to learn to let it go, if they plan to make it past their first 'date.'

This is not the Beauty and the Beast of your childhood. The amount of spice and heat will have you not wanting to put this one down. There may not be any enchanted objects, but matching shirts and roses hold a lot of magic.  Once again,  Harloe Rae delivers.  The sass, laughter, and heat are off the charts.

This is my first book I’ve read from Harloe and I’m wondering what took me so long. This is a great second story to the Bayside Heroes series. Dane and Larsen are two co-workers that have instant chemistry. Dane is the infamous playboy that doesn’t settle down. Larsen is the person that follows the rules and does everything to the T. Arrangements are made and lines become blurred. This was such a fun, steamy read.

I did not want Larsen and Dane’s story to end, I was enjoying it so much. It was sweet, swoony and romantic. Their chemistry is off the charts and the banter between these two characters was so fun to read. I love how their connection grows throughout the story as you learn more about them and their pasts. These two have a lot in common and I love how both of them push each other out of their comfort zones. Larsen’s strength and courage is one of my favorite things about her and Dane is so swoony and I love all the dates he plans. I am absolutely loving this Bayside Heroes series and can’t wait for the next installment.

I loved Larsen and Dane’s story!! We know them from the previous books so I was really excited to read about them and I loved everything about this book. They were both wonderful and their steamy scenes were the best.

They both had relationship’s issues, also they had some stranded relationship with their parents so they didn’t want to be with someone, but when they met at the hospital sparks flew from the beginning. Larsen was always focused on her job but she needed to have fun, so at first the arrangement with Dane was the perfect opportunity to loosen up. Then little by little they started enjoying their moments together and each other’s company so it was a matter of time before they fell for each other.

Their scenes together were amazing, they were very adventurous and I loved how they always tried new things. They fought hard at first not to fall in love but they had great chemistry and they really complemented each other. Starting their arrangement was the best for them because they helped each other overcome the fear of being in a relationship and they had a great time just being together.

I really had a great time reading their story and I can’t wait to read the rest on this series.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

I liked Dane in the first book, so I was excited to get his story. I also had enjoyed Lars, or Belle as Dane calls her in this book. I loved how their relationship went from casual to more. It seemed really natural and flowed the way I think that type of a relationship would in real life. They enjoyed the physical, but also had fun with banter and getting to know each other. In a way this had a similar theme to the first book in the series, Washed Up, because the characters in that book were doing things that they hadn’t done before to get out of their comfort zone, and in this book, Dane, or Beast as she called him, was taking Belle to do things she hadn’t done before, both in sexy times as well as just normal every day types of things like mini-golf. Or kind of wild adventurous things, like a hot air balloon ride!

Things got good and then they kept going well and all I could think of was how I knew there was going to be one more big thing to tear them apart and I wasn’t looking forward to that because I was loving their relationship! But I did like the way the author handled that big breakup and then the makeup. I believe the characters reacted realistically without a ton of drama in realizing they wanted to be back together.

And as I mentioned at the start of this review, I liked how not only did I know these two a bit from the last book, I got to enjoy those characters from that book and get to know the characters that I know will be coming up in the next two books as well.

I only had a couple things that weren’t stellar for me. The ending seemed to go on a bit longer than necessary after they made up. I almost feel like more of an epilogue could have been done, or maybe I was just feeling it was getting long at the end.

And my HATED part of the story was that they were cheering for the team that beat my beloved Kansas City Chiefs last year at the Superbowl. I like Gronk, but hate Tom Brady, so had to kind of hold my nose at the parts about that. Although I did enjoy Belle’s idea about peanuts and cracker jack snacks at the game. That was cute!

I loved Dane and Larsen so much! From a fling to friends to forever. Their story was full of ups and downs but I was hooked from the start.

Larsen Belle is a doctor, she is uptight, she doesn’t do flings or really relationships. Dane Owens is a security card, he doesn’t do relationships, but has had plenty of flings. Lars needs to relieve some stress and Dane is the perfect man for the job.

Both of them have things in their pasts that have made them who they are now. They are complete opposites of each other, but they work so well together. They are truly meant for each other. I loved their chemistry. I love that they both continued to break down each other’s walls and bring out something different in each other.

If you’re looking for an opposites attract, workplace romance this is one to read!

This is the second boom in the Bayside Heroes series. This story follows the love store of Dr. Larsen Belle, a psychiatrist and Dane Owens, a hospital security guard. They both don’t do relationships, and what starts off as a casual tryst in a hospital storage room turns into so much more. They’re both damaged from their upbringing and they’ve built these strong walls around themselves to avoid personal attachments to shield themselves from getting hurt again. But what starts in a storage room becomes so much more. This book was a beautiful story, but I would have loved a bit more spiciness.
