I am absolutely obsessed with this installment in the Green Creek series. The way TJ Klune plays with the perspective of both the audience and the character is out of this world! Genuinely didn’t want this book to end. Cannot WAIT for Brothersong!

Again I really wish I enjoyed these books more than I do. I want the magic system more clear.
The books keep professing that humans are just as good as werewolves and the wolves who think humans are lesser than are specieist, but I don't think the books actually believe that. There's like half as many humans as there was at the start, and everytime someone becomes a wolf they're like wow this is so much better.
In terms of plot,
I'm getting sick of the same plotline of someone trying to martyr themselves by leaving the pack/someone in the pack being left behind and then reuniting and everyone learning the power of friendship. I also wish the author could lean into consequences more. Rico should have died, Kelly stay human, Robbie shouldn't have regained his memories. The plot armour on the pack is crazy. The deaths are always unnamed randos who appear for a sentence before dying.

Crazy that these books are making me feel for the straights, they get like no straight characters lol
