Lee and Shayna’s second chance Rom-Com stirred up all kinds of emotions. At times I was spitting mad and I wanted to shake some sense into them and other times my heart was breaking and all I wanted was for them to get a happily ever after. It was an entertaining read with a dynamic cast of characters.
I’m a sucker for second chance romance. Add in the fact that it’s a sports romance and I was immediately sold. I loved Lee and Shayna so much. She made him work for his second chance and I was hooked from chapter one. The narrators were perfect for this story and I can’t wait to read and listen to the rest of this series!
Piper Rayne does sports romance so well and I am here for this football series!

This second chance romance was a great read. It was not only steamy but held all the emotional moments as well. These two were meant to be together but had so much standing in the way, including themselves. Also I love the tie in to the Hockie Hotties - hello Kane! If you love sports romance definitely grab this one. The next book featuring Brady sounds like a great one too!

When Lee spots Shayna, he automatically wants to make up for how he hurt her in college. Knowing he made a huge mistake and it will take a lot of work to get Shayna to forgive him, he trudges on.

I loved Shayna and Lee‘s story! Loved how strong Shayna was but also how she still leaned into her desires.

This is the second book of Piper's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Lee and Shayna. It was messy, but I couldn't help but root for them. I loved that we got both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
I can't wait for the next book in the series You Can't Kiss the Nanny, Brady Banks to be released on February 14, 2023.
