Kann man lesen, muss man aber nicht. Wenn man gerade Lust auf Sport Romance hat und gefühlt schon das Beste kennt, dann go for it. Ansonsten lies zuerst Elle Kennedy oder Kristen Callihan etc.
I LOVED this one. Lee Burrow's is Kane's younger brother, so we were introduced to him in Kane's book Offside with # 55 (final book in the Hockey Hotties series). Kane was one of my faves, so I knew I needed to read the spin-off series that features his brother!
That's not the only crossover though

Lee Burrows met Shayna Kudrow in college when she tutored him in biology so he wouldn't lose his football scholarship. He really liked her, maybe even loved her - but she broke up with him when she found out that his football buddy had made a bet about whether or not he could get her into bed.
8 years later, Lee is starting quarterback for the SF Kingsmen. He's surprised one day when Shayna shows up as a new member of the athletic training crew. But she pretends she doesn't know him.
Shayna is still holding quite the grudge against Lee - but she finally allows him to give her his sincere apology for the way things happened in college. And, they eventually decide to have a fling since they can't date due to the team's non-fraternization policy.
I felt like the confessions of love were a little sparse, but overall I really liked the characters in the story and I'm looking forward to continuing the series.

This was a fun start to the football series. Curious to see how this one continues.
4/5 stars.
I put this book off for quite a while now because when I read the novella, I didn't really like the reason this book was going to be a second chance romance trope. But, I really felt like reading it so I decided to give it a chance and I was not at all disappointed, in fact, I loved this book! From the characters to the new world we're dropped in to the tropes, this story had it all. I didn't want to lay it down and it really helped me get out of my slump because it was fast, an easy read and cute but also has an emotional side. I definitely recommend this!
