Good message overall but the incessant humble bragging was too much for me.
I almost finished this audiobook but didn't quite get to it.
This was full of obvious realizations. This book is for super sheltered people that are afraid of the real world. If that's you, you might find it helpful.

This was a fun and quick read. I didn’t really identify with the religious influences and parenting topics, but I’m sure this would be a great book for those who do relate to those things.
I wish I could give half stars; I’d give a 4.5. The book is good and deserves the recognition it’s been getting. I liked Rachel’s honesty and straightforward responses to many things we deal with as women. Quick and easy read!
Great audiobook for a mom that needs a good read while on the go. Rachel is very honest and touches on subjects that most surely all moms and women have to navigate through. She puts her emotions out there and speaks her truth. Her intent is to inspire and light a fire under your ass to follow your dreams.
I received an Advance Reader’s Copy of this book.
I was trying to find a quote from this book and found it, but it was by someone else years before this book came out. Months later, an article came out about Rachel Hollis’ plagiarism and I’ve been disappointed that I ever was on her book launch teams (for this book and Girl, Wash Your Face).
Because of this, I’m deleting my reviews of her books.

Ever wanted a really cool older sibling that can talk to you about literally anything and has all the insight and experience and you can just learn through her instead of waiting time messing up yourself?
Rachel holiss is that sister.
So get comfy for some sisterly spiritual (and practical!) Advice.
And honestly it's good for Christians and non alike. It's just good female advice.

You guys, I thought this book had a false intimacy in which Rachel Hollis acted like she has everyday struggles but is really super privileged. It's hard to rally for someone around the goal of her first LV bag. (chapters about her brother and foster care were exceptions to this). There's nothing wrong with her advice, and I get that a lot of self-help is intuitive, but if the examples were coming from someone whose struggles elicited a little more sympathy I'd have found them more compelling. Also, I found her religious outlook alienating. To me, the message that everything is part of God's plan doesn't jibe well with the pull yourself up by the bootstraps philosophy.
