i had high expectations for this piece given that this was much revered along the community but i think im just not smart enough for lispector’s works.

her stream of consciousness were inconsistent and redundant. it was like reading mock beat poetry that sounded so pretentious to the point that it made no sense.

might re-read it if it crosses my mind, but just not for me

"I write to you in disorder, I well know. But that is how I live. I only work with the lost and found."

i love it. i don't think i can write a proper review right now. but do know that i kept smiling when i was reading the story for how good and crazy it was.

Ahhh man it's just not my thing, but I can still appreciate what Lispector is trying to do. It's a ramble from the soul, for better or for worse.
There's a couple good bits in Agua Viva but I found those bits to be overshadowed by the many more completely aimless and vague parts.

I can get down with metaphorical poetry-esque books, but this felt more like reading a Schizophrenic's diary.

i don’t think i can rate this one. i feel like i must’ve missed parts of this yet i still got so much out of reading it. there were parts that i didn’t quite understand or left me wondering what was the point of it but also many moments that were so affecting.  i do appreciate what lispector did here and ultimately i was inspired and moved. i hope i can get more out of it on a reread in the future especially because idk that i was in the right state of mind to read this when i did
