Well this was certainly one of those unexpected gems! Gritty, erotic, emotional, relatable and quite modern!
I was feeling everything! And totally there for this very rough ride! (In my more ways than one).
This book was defo a strong 5/5 for me.

4.22 stars? are y’all fucking LOONEY? there’s so many problems with this book, but the one I cannot get over is Julian fingering bree for an hour while the kids sit a few ft away on the ground watching a movie.
Julian:
-i hate you, you’re a nasty man and i don’t mean that in a good way
-I don’t think he knows what consent is because even in the BDSM community they communicate, have a safe word, make sure each party is comfortable. Julian tho? “I’m going to hit you 3 times & then f your ass” no prior conversation. and if she had said no, he would have probably had a bitch fit and cry
-he has a serious sex addiction and needs to go to therapy like fr fr
-you and your friends are skeevy, nasty mfs. the way they talked about women? disgusting.
Brielle
-i liked her character for the most part. her and the kids were so cute together, but there’s no character development on her part.

5 cringe stars though. seriously this entire book had me crawling into the ground to get away from it.
TL/DR: book sucks, hero is icky & there are a lot of heavy subjects that get thrown at you and then forgotten a page later.

I like the concept of this book; I just don’t feel like it was executed very well. I personally felt like there was not enough build and/or depth to the relationship for them to have chemistry; it felt very forced. I was also extremely uncomfortable with the smut with the kids in the room.

Okay, this is my 5th Billionaire TL book now and I can see the formula, I can see that all her men are basically the same but that is fine. It gets an easy 4 stars because it's such a fun read with good spice. My biggest critic with this book is that an easy 50-100 pages could have been cut out because the middle half was just smut and thats all. There is no plot or character development in that middle section but that is fine I loved the smut. Though the smut is very sex and kink positive which is great.
Brielle was a fun character to read it but so also is so sweet even with the struggles she has faced. I loved how she came to the UK for adventure from Australia because that seems so authentic to a lot of 20 somethings in Aus. She treats that kids with such respect and really breaks down their walls and becomes seriously protective over her sweet angels.
Julian the super rich judge that was left widowed was very very closed off and all he wants is sex. His character development was very very slow and minimal, it was literally at the last minute he decided to grow some balls. I don't like that he falls into the typical widowed dad that is clueless because it is just way too common that dads have no idea especially when they are wealthy. Also typical like all TL men he likes prostitutes.

I'm not gonna lie but I skipped a lot of their in between conversation as I found it slightly cringey. I mean they both gave Dr Jekyl & Mr Hyde vibes, like one second they were that way and the next one 180 turnover, so much so that I was like Am I still reading the same characters? Overall a good story despite their cringey dialogues.
