Theres three books in this collection and they are all a quick read - takes about an hour or less per book. They are a literal collection of urban legends and ghost stories to tell. I found a few enjoyable. Overall I think it's a cute set for kids but I was hoping for a bit more. The illustrations are wonderfully spooky and the best part about each book.

Same classic stories with the beautiful artwork I remember. I also enjoyed the folk lore historical and cultural explanations that accompanied the tales.

It’s been some years since I had read these books. I love these stories as much as ever. Iconic!

Definitely not as creepy to adult me as they were to child/teen me, but it was still fun to revisit for the nostalgia.
