Gorgeous art style, very well realized characters. I really liked the tiny portrait notes that were included around people and places in some of the wide shot scenes. You got little snippets of things about a person, right handed, has secretly been in love with best friend since he was 6, really likes robots. It really added a great flavor and realism to the story. I also super enjoyed the maps that were added and the notes on those. It made the setting feel more tangible.

I liked the story right up to the very unsatisfying ending. I guess it was at least realistic, and I probably should have seen it coming, but I'm really tired of stories about queer folks ending unsatisfying. It wasn't a misery ever after, but it was unhappy. And I get unhappy in reality often enough I don't want it in my stories.

i was rlly fascinated by the storytelling in this one. i know a lot of the other reviews say it’s paced oddly and takes a dark turn towards the end but i resonated really strongly with the story and i could vividly see all of it playing out at the high school i attended. i guess it’s one of those things where it feels unbelievable unless you’ve experienced it.

I wanted to love this, but just could not get into the pacing and the stops for infodumps.

A lot of the reviews complain about how cluttered the pages feel while reading this title but I honestly think it adds to the experience. Especially if you grew up as a queer girl!! It adds to the messy experience of adolescence and yeah sometime everything doesn’t work out and that’s ok!!! The little quips about random side character work to show us that while these girls are the center of their own world, they aren’t actually the center of THE world
