Loved the story, the magic system and the world building/stakes. Everyone felt flushed out with good character motivation. It would have been a 5 but the FMC is so dumb and just assumes so much for being “a fully grown woman of the world” the way she thinks she is….I got so frustrated when she reacted out of emotion - though I understand that comes from her goddess lineage, it didn't seem like any other gods blessed characters were that affected, she just lacked an ability to use logic or understand other people’s motives/perspectives. Audiobook narration also did not need to have that accent.

Man this is a good book. This is my second read and it’s just as good as the first time. The FMC is a strong character who has gone through some crap. The MMC is a sassy hunk of meat. Great story line.
