Major step up from the first of this series, I really enjoyed the banter between Rhys and Bridget. The forbidden love plot was well done and the spice level was high.

This book was just as if not better than the first book in the series! I loved the plot and how much it intertwined with the characters of the first and also held its own story. It was a beautiful love story that made me feel as if I truly knew the characters.

Much better than the first book to me. The beginning of the book was very intriguing because I liked the troupe of body guard falling for his client. After the book settled in though it became slow paced for a little bit in the middle of the book but eventually picked back up. I liked the conflict of the romance, but the resolution was predictable.

I wouldn't read this book if you are looking for good plot twists, while it has some they don't last very long for you to infer what might happen. Overall I liked that characters and their relationship and I didn't like slow pace in the beginning/middle parts.

I was trying to think of something to not like about this book. I very much enjoyed it.

I absolutely loved Rhys. I listened to the audiobook so I think that helped but that man is filthy in all the best ways and his care for Bridget is so beautiful. Bridget was a strong FMC but Rhys really stole the show. I wanted to know what he was thinking and planning and saying. The plot itself wasn’t bad or far-fetched. It made sense in the grand scheme of the book and was resolved nicely. This book isn’t literary genius but the plot was good, the characters lovable, and the smut so spicy.
