Finally a book I didn’t cry in, but also didn’t feel anything in. I had enjoyed Lynn Painter’s Mr. Wrong Number, but felt bored with this one.
It was filled with cliches and the ending felt rushed, we were introduced to drama at the very end, it was lackluster and resolved quickly.
Some of the dialogues were also very cringey.
But overall it was a quick read that had some fun moments.

I liked the narrators in this book. This book was very fast paced which is very different from Lynn Painter’s YA books.
There was barely a third act breakup and the ending felt a bit rushed which brought my rating down.
While I appreciated that I was able to finish a book quickly it almost felt too short. I wish there was more development and banter between the characters, because I liked their chemistry.
I did not realize till the very end that this book is the second in an interconnected standalone series. I haven’t read the first one yet but I’m guessing it would make the most sense to read them in order.
This was a solid listen, not extremely memorable but enjoyable still.
