This was cute and pretty typical Lynn Painter. I feel like her books are very trope-y which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, just something to be prepared for going in. 

With this one, I liked the set up, loved the chemistry and banter, and thought it was a nice palate cleanser.

I feel like I don't know anything, I don't understand anything...
Somehow this book didn't steal its way into my heart, I just couldn't identify with it. After the great first part, I expected more from it.

Having heard all the hype surrounding Lynn Painter, I picked this up as a palette cleanser, but I can't help feeling disappointed. I expected something great, but 'The Love Wager' seemed somewhat mediocre. It seemed to move too quickly and a lot of the events seemed really unrealistic. I did still enjoy it and some of the scenes did make me feel giddy, but I expected more.
