Similar to the Korean film "The Beauty Inside". But here the protagonist possess the body of others for a day.

I really enjoyed the beginning but the end; not so much. Had you asked me in the beginning of the book I'd have wanted to give it four stars. It made for good book club discussion and it was thought provoking....

3.5

The first time I read this book I was a young teen and it was one of my favorite books. Rereading it as an adult (21 y/o) it is just... so bad. The characters are not likable and the book tries to do so many 'deep' scenes or explore complex concepts that are just fake and/or poorly executed. It also sets a terrible example for relationships, young teens should not get any romantic ideas from this book. All in all it is bad and you should save your reading energy for another book.

A unique story and I really liked it!

Levithan is a tad preachy when it comes to his view of the world-- luckily I agree or else this might have been a rough read. I (unlike most reviewers I've read) actually like the fact that our protagonist, A, is an unreliable parasite and that the basic concept this book gives more questions than answers. I, as a reader, was able to develop my own themes and questions to ponder, which I believe is important for any book written for young adults.

i really liked how this book was written. it didn't have a slow pace, which made me put down many books for the past year or two. even though it's not a WOW book, it's really good and if you're considering reading it, you definitely should ;) it's also an easy read for non-english-natives who want to read in english. it's mostly narrated in first person (though sometimes in third, but you should read it to find out why 😉) and i read it super quick. the ending was kind of "meh", but the rest of the book is awesome!
