I really like the concept of this book but the execution wasn't my favorite in terms of plot, I love the magic system & the whole idea of the gods but I didn't care much about the actual story

EVERYONE need to read this right now right this second!!!! Its so good and I can’t wait for book number 2. I can’t believe that there isn’t more hype about this book because it’s really bloody amazing. It’s on the same tier as Fourth Wing for me. Just wow the ending is shocking and also not at urgh so good!! please give it a read it’s amazing

I don’t read a lot of mystery book, or Greek-mythology-inspired books, but this was a perfect blend of both. I really like the concept of the gods being “dead” and their other-born descendants inheriting their powers. The complex family dynamics were incredible and so real. As a person with 5 sisters, the sibling love and drama was so accurate. The fated soulmates trope was very well-done, not at all the typical style you’d read it. I will be reading the sequel!

ooooo that was a fun twist there at the end! the combonation of city gangs and magic, along with the age range of the characters really reminded me of legend of korra which i really liked. the twists at the end were very captivating. i’m excited to get to know bianca’s character more in the next book because her character was very interesting. the only thing that i wasn’t sold on was Io falling in love with Edei in 4 days. when that he four day time period was brought i was like oh well that’s a little far fetched lol. overall this story was very gripping! i hope we get a little bit more character building in the next book.
