At the beginning of the book I was lost. I couldn’t follow along and I felt like I was missing something. But the more I read and became invested I truly enjoyed the book. It is different than what I usually read, but it was adventurous and mysterious! It was a fantasy mystery and I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed how the Io learns to be brave and accept herself for who she is. To stop allowing others to be in control of her. This was a good book and I enjoyed the adventure!

I love love love the magic system here! So much fun and I loved learning about it.
I adored the unsettling vibes of the Nine SO MUCH!!! Also the complexity of Thais and Bianca??? LOVED!!!! They were my favorites. One thing I didn't like was the romance plot. I just didn't really like how it was played out with the whole "he has a girlfriend" thing for the majority of it.

I love mythology. Reading a story that involves the Greek mythology with the 3 Fates set in a modern fantasy world just makes it all better.

This book has a world set in an apocalyptic city atmosphere with an unusual magic system is inspired by Greek goddesses and muses (the "Other" born). If this didn't peak your interest, there is a murder mystery with a lot of action, underground gangs, political manipulation, a complicated family history, and a "fated" love story with soulmates Io and Edei.

Threads that Bind touched on themes of inequality and oppression, corruption, and has representation of LGBTQIA+ and mental health.

Threads that Bind is a complex read but it is worth it with it's combination of mythology, murder, mystery, humor, romance, fate - and of course, magic.

The Threads that Bind is a must read for any one who loves YA, mythology, or stories about family.

Sloppy with the plot and overly complicated. There is someone named Saint-Yves which made me think of apricot scrub every time. Plot points about how powers work were inconsistent. Normally I’d have finished a book of this length and genere within a couple of days. I’m 3 days in and can’t get past page 76. I hate to quit but I just cannot get into this one

the magic in this book was very interesting but i found it hard to follow at some points. Io was a wonderful protagonist and everything unfolded in such a neat and satisfying manner. if i had thought harder, i would have seen the plot twist coming but luckily i’m a thoughtless reader. i think that there needs to be a second installment, i need to know what happens next!!

This book deserves so much more attention!! I really can't wait for news on the next one
