Threads That Bind is a YA fantasy thriller. During a routine investigation, teenage detective Io finds herself caught up in an otherworldly murder mystery. What follows is a fast-paced story of fate and secrets, vengeance and betrayal, packed with twists and heart-racing action.
I loved the magic system based on Greek myth: it felt like a really unique concept, embellished with just the right amount of complexity and some vivid worldbuilding.
I found some of the plot points overly contrived and the final twist was a little too predictable. Because the world and concept feel original, it was almost jarring when the structure got a bit tropey.
Overall, Threads That Bind is a gripping, action-packed read and a wonderfully original fantasy.

Definitely feels like it’s for a younger audience in ya
I didn’t know much about any Greek mythology before starting this book and all that is mentioned is somewhat well explained semi easy to pick up on but with the actual plot and how many characters are going on in this story it’s really confusing its hard to stay focused and care about what’s happening it’s like the book is written really fast paced but the plot is so slow it doesn’t keep up with itself at all
So confusing and boring it’s not worth reading anymore

This was just not as good as o hoped it would be. I didn’t care for the characters, the world-building felt very info-dumpy, the plot was confusing. I didn’t gel with the style it was written in and just couldn’t get behind the characters. I may pick up book 2 but this one was disappointing.
