I was blown away. From the start this story held my attention. Io, a Moira born has the ability to cut threats that attach people to things and those they love. The youngest of 3 sisters each with an ability regarding lifes threads, a weaver or threads and one with the ability to shorten or lengthen a thread. After having lost their parents Io takes on private investigating type jobs to help make ends meet, until she finds herself in a whole mess of a new investigation.

Hatzopoulou is quite the weaver of this tale. She is able to control the story progression while introducing world building, other born powers, and new characters to show the dynamics of how our choices align ans impact the direction of our future. 

Io is a character that was easy to follow and root for. Holding the hard job of being a cutter, Io doe not sacrifice her morals to get ahead. She wants to understand motives and outcomes. 

This book kept me guessing and took some great twists and turns. It was a great read.
