Even though I guessed the twist early on it still kept me on my toes! I really enjoyed reading this book and will definitely read her work again!

OH. MY. GOODNESS. Do you ever read a thriller so good that you just can't put it down? But also, you kind of want to make sure to read it in the daylight because it the twists and turns are so damn creepy, but also just so, so darn good. That's THIS book! Detective Elise Sutton has to make a quick, life-altering and lifesaving decision. She knows that's going to come with some feels, but what she doesn't know is it's going to come with a whole heck of a lot more. Elise feels the need to connect with one of the survivors of that fateful day. The only thing is this man has a lot more to his story - A LOT MORE. And he starts to invade Elise's life in ways she could not have anticipated. Again, this one was a ride, and it was so, so well done. I legit couldn't (and didn't) stop reading until I knew how it ended. Thanks to NetGalley for the early look at this June 2023 (must-read) release!

"We all need to be seen for who we are. That's what connects us."

What Remains was absolutely so spine-chilling and creepy, the book was so hard to put down because you needed to know what was going to happen next. I almost thought they were going to throw a wild twist in at the end, but the ending they went for was more satisfying. But I still wish they went for that other twist...

People aren't always as they appear.

I just had to skim read the last 40 or so pages because I was so over it. The book started out good, but took FOREVER to just go anywhere. I don’t even care about what I skim read or remember any of it. All I know is that whatever hype this book gets is not worth it 😂
