It hurts me to give a low rating to a VE Schwab book! 
This one was just not for me. It felt like nothing happened. We get a glimpse at the lives of three different women but are never given a good reason to care about them. Alice had a much smaller role and I never really got to know her. I couldn't have cared less about Lottie she seemed like a plot device to tell us more about Sabine than anything else. 

I know others love this book. I've loved every other book I've read of Schwab and will continue to read new releases.
