I read this book shortly after viewing the film and they are both quite odd. The main character Mr. M is kind of creepy, but I think that's the point. Reading this book makes you never want to date a teacher ever again.

Humans are so interesting.

This was a quick, fun read about all the trouble humans can get into just being the beautiful neurotic creatures that we are.

Loved the movie and now I can't put the book down. A great, quick read

Interesting book and a nice, fast read.

This book definitely fits into the category of a light, quick read. It's told from a number of viewpoints which each section generally being no more than a page or two, which makes it great for picking up and putting down. Or just picking up and finishing quickly, because it's only about 200 pages.

It's about a high school election. The class "politician", Tracy Flick, was always going to run, but then Mr M, the English teacher, talks popular Paul Warren into running against her. And then Paul's younger sister, Tammy, decided to run too. Characters turn out not to be quite who they seemed at the start and there's some pretty unconscionable behaviour from school staff. There are some loose ends, stories never quite explained or finished. But overall, enjoyable.
