I love Kate Racculia’s characters; they are so wonderfully odd and self-aware. I couldn’t put this one down!

I didn’t want this book to end, but the conclusion was so wonderful. If you like well-written women and adulthood and mysteries and a little magic then please do yourself a favor and read this!!!
3.5/4
This was interesting, but didn’t exactly deliver the level of clue searching and mystery solving that I expected from the summary or beginning few chapters. Some twists and turns along the way, but maybe not enough? Also, I expected the whimsical writing style to keep up throughout the book but it just kinda didn’t. Low key disappointing. Giving this a 3.5 though because the first third of the book killed it.

Ok so the book started great. Then it dipped to not great. It bounced back up at the end though. I'm glad I kept reading.
I enjoyed the setting of this book, Boston along with glimpses of Salem, MA. There is a light hearted tone to this novel even though most of the characters are dealing with loss, mainly through the death of loved ones. An eccentric millionaire is challenging people via a contest to examine how they are living their lives & encourages them to be curious along with doing good in the world. There are multiple plot lines, the contest and several characters' struggles. Mostly it all hummed along though at times I confused the teenage Tuesday with her young neighbor and found the tone of the story would change abruptly.
Captivating, wonderful story that is as equally about love and friendship (in unlikely places) as it is about grief, loss, and the power of just letting go. Not to mention a good mystery and scavenger hunt through Boston. Really well done, researched, and written. Enamored with this one.
