An interesting book. I was expecting a more grownup [b:The Westing Game|902|The Westing Game|Ellen Raskin|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1356850909l/902._SX50_.jpg|869832], but the treasure hunt took a backseat to the introspection of the main characters for long stretches. I would have liked a little more clue solving, but I think the secondary mystery of the Arches balanced the treasure hunt and I liked learning about all the characters. Tuesday's conversations with Abby were an interesting twist. I hope there's another book forthcoming because there are some unanswered questions about her communication ability and. Recommended for a good page-turner mystery/treasure hunt with cool characters and a pretty satisfying conclusion.

Very fun and weird. The mystery and Boston as a character on the books is super fun
I enjoyed this book. Some of the writing and plot seemed a little disjointed at times, but it didn’t really taint my enjoyment.
I do wish some of the loose ends were wrapped up, and I wish some other ends stayed a little more frayed, but overall I would recommend it!

I agree entirely with Kate's review. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/4754228409?book_show_action=false&from_review_page=1.
I would add that it was great fun to see Somerville (and Cambridge and Boston, but especially Somerville) as the accurately described setting for this book.

This book wasn’t anything special. I wasn’t in love with the characters or the plot but I will say it was a good mystery book and felt like I was playing a game while reading along. I can’t pinpoint exactly why I didn’t enjoy the book all that much.
This book had a promising premise, but fell disappointingly flat. The author had a tendency to go off on lengthy tangents (full of tedious and unnecessary detail) that pulled you completely out of the story line and left you scrambling to figure out where you had left off. I agree with others that there was just too much going on, with too little resolution provided for the many subplots.
I enjoyed reading this book and was certainly entertained. I did feel like there was a lot going on and I know I missed the depth of all of the references. I was entertained by it, none-the-less. I almost didn’t read it because I knew I would miss the references to other works and m glad I accepted that wound be the case - it did not detract from my enjoyment or entertainment.
