One of the only books with a low key insta lust trope that didn’t give me the ick. It was trying to do the “slow burn” thing where the love interests just lust after each other (I usually hate that) but it kinda slapped here.
I’m also usually a big city, rich vibes, late nights kinds book girly but this small city, FISHING and SEA thing kinda worked on me? The mmc was actually good to the fmc and was a huge green flag all the way through. Not. A. Single. Ick.
Brendan is OBSESSED with Piper and you can tell. The relationship also flowed naturally even tho I could see people arguing over it moving too fast, I thought it was the perfect pace for this helluva perfect book.
Loved it. (It was also really funny, and really fucking deep) I could relate to the fmc mby a bit too much.

Reading this was like watching a spicy as hell rom com. What a fun story. While fairly cliché as far as romance goes, still very enjoyable. This was my first Tessa Bailey book and I will definitely read more when I need a quick fun romance.
