Sorry not sorry.

WOW I honestly think this might be my favorite one of Mariana’s books. I have no words other than I loved this entire story and I loved Kulti even more
Mariana Zapata is the best slow burn author and I’ll die on that hill
I will be thinking of this book for the foreseeable future

this was a good read but also i can’t help but wonder why the team’s pr hated when rumors started flying about sal and kulti when their goal in the first place for hiring the guy was more attention to the team like maybe they could’ve capitalized on that a little bit even though it’s ethically wrong LMAOOOO … but then again i could be stupid and the world is blessed to not have me as a pr manager. 4 and a little smth stars / 5!!!
Okay overall I did really enjoy this but there are a few imperfections that make this a low 4
Best parts
-Sal’s dad. I’m obsessed with him
-it was actually very funny, genuinely laughed out loud
-the German nicknames were killing me lmao
-Sal’s narrator was great, excellent and a new fav (Kyla Garcia)
-multi cultural and nice Spanish and German dialogue too
-sports romances so much better when the fmc is the athlete
Parts I didn’t like
-audiobook - kulti’s voice actor was super talented but I didn’t actually love the thick German accent so much, I think it made his voice higher pitched so sometimes threw me off
-the letter thing at the end was weird and unnecessary tbh
-this relationship felt a bit surface level like I don’t actually feel like we get to know much about kulti
-age gap was ehh, if was brought up more than I would’ve liked

I usually love her books and have heard a lot of good for this one but I ended up pretty disappointed by it.
The writing is good, the setting is great, our main gal is FANTASTIC but the main dude is pretty much an asshole. And even though he’s really sweet to her by the end of it he’s still an asshole to everyone else, and is pretty mean to her at numerous points during the book so I couldn’t really get into it.
They’ve got fun banter though, i’ll give them that.
