Phenomenal! Thrawn has been one of my favourite Star Wars characters since watching Rebels, and this only reaffirmed it.
I read through most of the book but didn't manage to finish it, so much of this story was familiar to me. The amazing art and honestly the gripping story really helped push me through.
One of the main questions I had after starting to read the book was, what happened to Vanto, why wasnt he in rebels?... Now I know.
Amazing story, thoroughly reccomend to any star wars fan. Definitely planning on reading more thrawn stories.

As an adaptation of a relatively wordy book, it surprisingly cuts down a lot of the fluff. Sometimes it IS better to see pictures instead of a wordsmith try to convey actions via words.
But to recap, there's only so many ways a person can be "smart" and while the Elon Musk lookalike (thanks Ahsoka on D+ for making that image stick in my mind) is brilliant as far as outmaneuvering and outplaying his opponent (with the added bonus of actual caring of lives lost), his social graces are not that great since people are sadly, irrational as heck.
On the other end of the spectrum is Arindha Price...the Cate Blanchet lookalike (seriously, how does she look exactly like she did in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull?) who is great at social climbing, but as it implies, is willing to step on as many lives as she can to get to her goals.
Great seeing how these two ambitious a-holes rise to power so that they're where they are by the time they're introduced in Rebels.

Grand Admiral Thrawn expanded the Star Wars universe in a fresh way 30 years ago. It pleases me to see him brought back into the new canon. This is a fantastic introduction to the clever villain who is as much brains as brawn.
