Really slow start almost DNF'ed it, it picked up a bit and then just ended as the story felt like it was finally starting to go somewhere. The second book i don't think is out yet either which is disappointing with the way it ended

I'm gonna be honest... tik tok put this book on my radar from the dedication. I immediately borrowed it on KU and boy, am I glad I did. I sort of went in blind and didn't know what to expect but I think that was the best way to do it.

It was a bit slow in the beginning but that's sort of par for the course with fantasy so I didn't mind it. But I felt like once it picked up? IT. PICKED. TF. UP. Never have I ever experienced so much whiplash from a book in my life... I went from falling in love with a character to slowly being suspicious of said character, to straight up despising them!!

IS IT APRIL 2025 YET?! It feels cruel to have to wait that long for book 2..
