This is my third book by Abby Jimenez and my new favorite. I love how authentic her characters feel. These aren’t your typical romance leads…they think and act like actual people, with complicated pasts and very human emotions. The individual struggles each character faced were unique, emotional, and super relatable (to me), and I especially appreciated how messy things got before the HEA. The mental health themes were handled so well, and they’re exactly what made this story stand out…it wasn’t just a romance, it was a deeply personal, perfectly imperfect journey towards empathy and understanding.

This was a cute love story. I appreciated the descriptions of mental health and not shying away from complicated family dynamics that do not necessarily end “happily ever after” (not main couple - they of course have their HEA). You don’t have to have read the other books in the series to understand this book, but I think it would be helpful as characters from the other 2 pop up in this one.

Read this after yet another man disappointed me. It was so cute I both wanted to bathe with a toaster and giggle and kick my feet at the same time. 10/10 would recommend.

The storyline had pretty good depth for a rom-com/dramedy, but the ending felt a little abrupt. Overall worth my time, though (and loved that it took place in MN)!

A really good book! Not as much smut as I expected, but once I started it I couldn’t put it down. Such a strong plot line and great writing. My first book by Abby and I loved it!
