This was a roller coaster of a read. The romance was so sweet (Justin is a unicorn I think) and the family and friendship relationships were so beautifully expressed. There was a lot more trauma than I was expecting and it gets dark a few times so take care if you could be triggered by that. I listened to the audiobook and the narrators were great.

If unlimited stars were an option this book would deserve it!!!! I am not being dramatic when I say that I will be chasing the high this book gave me for the rest of my life. This will FOR SURE be my favorite book of 2025 and it's only May. Abby Jimenez I hope both sides of your pillow are cold at night because you deserve it.

A classic romance but with the messiness of the real world. Clearly well researched. Difficult read if you have a tumultuous relationship with your biological parent. Loved that the ending was so raw and real.

This was a fun, easy read with some great banter and chemistry, but it definitely tried to do a lot—especially when it came to mental health themes. For a romantic comedy, it leaned heavier than I expected, and at times it felt like it was juggling too much. That said, I only read a few rom-coms a year and this was one of the better ones I’ve picked up. Not totally my usual vibe, but still enjoyable and well-written.
