I was enjoying this to start but about 45% through the plot points becomes suspiciously like Soul Eater by Lily Mayne. I love tropes and HEA and don't expect everything story to be 100% unique but this was eerie. If I wasn't family with Mayne's series, I might have given this story a 4/5. I will not be reading the rest of this series.
