A little slower and more worldbuildy than The Fifth Season but still so lush and beautiful and heartrending

Como buena segunda parte, genera más preguntas de las que responde. Esperemos que la conclusión de la trilogía esté a la altura.

It doesn't have the immediate, merciless grip on your heart the first one does, but that doesn't mean it pulls it's emotional punches. A deeper exploration of the magic system if this world drives the mystery forward, pulling you with both the world and the characters.

A sharp decline in quality from The Fifth Season... felt like I was reading this from a thousand miles away, having to squint through a veil of smog to make out events, characters, and significance. So much happens and yet it feels like almost no progress is made? Not sure I will reach for The Stone Sky.
