Audiobook was read by the authors and was very much like listening to one of their podcasts.
For those who have enjoyed the radio shows and podcasts, this won’t disappoint.

very easy to listen to with the right balance of information and levity. particular impressed with how they fly through many vastly different topics without it feeling disjointed or rushed.

Rutherford and Fry's Complete Guide to Absolutely Everything is obviously, not, but instead is a series of pop-science essays.

Each chapter delves into a different part of the universe, or more specifically, the human experience of it. From how we perceive time, emotions, and colours - and whether animals experience them in the same way - to how we've evolved to be perfectly suited to our planet, Everything gives a little insight into being human. It's written in a chatty, easy style, although some chapters feel a little more naturally flowing than others.

As with many pop-science books, it simplifies and glosses over things, but it's a fairly accessible introduction to many different parts of science. I'd recommend to those interested.

I was expecting something more cohesive. Some topics were interesting others weren't. The authors think that they are very funny. I am questioning their understanding of chirality.

If you like Rurtherford and Fry's podcast, this book is definitely for you. If you don't like Rutherford and Fry, this book is also for you. It focuses on a few areas on science and does this in an accessible and entertaining way. It was a joy to read.

I love that the authors are proof that being a scientist doesn't mean you're without a sense a humour, and can be human.
They make science interesting, and readable.
