This was a surprise for me! I never considered myself a romance reader but I am LOVING chick lit audiobooks in the car at the minute. I’m finding they’re really lifting my mood too! 💕

Was this whole book predictable? Absolutely. Was it lacking depth? Yeah a bit. But I absolutely devoured it. Who doesn’t like a little haters to lovers summer read? ☀️

I enjoyed the first half way better than the second but overall, a funny and lighthearted read. I would recommend Christina Lauren’s writing - can’t wait to try more! 👙

okay, so this was the second time i read this book, and i honestly loved it so much more this time around. i didn’t care much for it after my first read, so i figured i’d give it another go and i’m honestly so glad that i did. the characters are all so lovable, and the relationship that the two main characters have develops so well throughout the book. once they get passed the issue that was keeping them apart, they have some of the best communication skills i have ever seen between two characters in a book, and even when they fight, you can tell they are still on the same team which is so refreshing. overall just a really fun, easy read, with the perfect amount of heart.

Writing was good and I throughly enjoyed this book. Sort of fat positive romance (I personally pictured Olive to be closer to my size than the midsized description given to her) especially since she completely moved on from him when she thought that he judged her based in on her eating preferences. Ethan Thomas is a sexy himbo!
However hated that he refused to accept Olive telling him that his brother was not a good guy when she had multiple reasons and receipts on Dane but the writing helped me understand he couldn’t until it was right in front of his face due to his faith in his brother.
Honestly not that big of a deal to me, though, simply because I so throughly enjoyed Olive’s character. From her fatal flaw of honesty and all the growth she did over the book, I adored how she found how to stay true to herself. Love the groveling scene in the restaurant. Probably did not need the epilogue part but it was cute.
