My SIL had received this book for Christmas and I had to get it for myself. What amazing, creepy stories to some of our favorite fairy tales. Loved it!!

Fairy Tales

I liked the stories though most seemed to have a certain formula for plot. But what can I say? They're fairy tales and they're interesting and they make you think.

Najbardziej w tych nieocenzurowanych pierwszych wersjach baśni zaskoczyło mnie to, że bohaterem niektórych bajek jest świadoma kiełbasa, która mówi, sprząta i gotuje, i właściwie jej kiełbaszczość nie jest żadnym plot device. Po prostu czasem tak się zdarza, że mieszkają razem kiełbasa, mysz i jeż, normalna rodzina.

A must have for every parent, child or child-at-heart. Educate yourselves with the true stories, not what Disney has crafted, albeit greatly.
