i don't even know what to say besides that was a wild time.
When I first finished this book I would have given it 4 stars. Despite its shortcomings, it was an engaging read with a fun love story and high enough stakes to stay invested in the characters and plot.
However, after DNFing the rest of the trilogy because it was such utter crap, I’m knocking down a star. This could easily have been a standalone if the author extended this book 200-300 more pages instead of the 1200+ that she subjected us to.

I had a great time reading Serpent and Dove. The first chapter didn’t convinced me but the more you discover the characters the more you know about the story, the more you want to continue reading !!
This Book does have nice surprises, expected plot twist and less expected ones. Most of the surprising things at the beginning actually make a lot of sense when you finish your reading.
I especially enjoy the magic in this book and the fact that it is not a black and white vision. Everyone has it dark sides. There is not good or bad sides.
I def recommend this reading even though I have a real issue with the use of french in the book. It doesn’t add anything to the story. It doesn’t make sense at all... I expect they just stop it for the next book.
And again... Lou is not a boy name.

Highly enjoyable, good world-building, loved the French flair, dreamy heroine, all around love!
I avoided this for a bit because of the YA tag, but was pleasantly surprised. Not at all dry/juvenile in the romance department :)

Really enjoyed this book until the very end. It felt a little bit like one of the characters suddenly acted REALLY out of character, and it kind of pulled me out of it.
But, overall, fun world, and wonderful, cute characters.
