I wasn’t ready for this series to end. Last year I read Powerless, Powerful and Reckless consecutively after the other and I loved every moment of each book. Each book added their own style and their own literary techniques and I are the books up and loved every moment.
I was worried going into Fearless because I didn’t know if I would love it as much as the other books. Boy was I wrong!
Fearless I loved just as much, if not more than the rest of the series! It was an incredible way to end the trilogy. The plot twist that happened had been subconsciously brewing since Powerless and it the thrill of it all coming together had me putting the book down and processing for 10 minutes.
I sobbed, I laughed, I kicked my feet in happiness. I was angry, I was hurt and it takes incredible writing for me to relate to every scene and each character in different ways.
Kai will always be my book boyfriend. The banter between Paedyn and Kai has always been strong, but the banter in this book! Amazing. The undying love they both share truly made me believe in true love. I loved the re-introduction of Mak into the storyline and cried wholeheartedly when he was re-united with Adena!
Kitt! Roberts has a very clever way of creating a villain, but writing him in the way that makes the reader not hate him, but pity him. To make the plot twist of him recreating the plague but doing it for the love of his brother! Honestly it was *chef’s kiss* perfect.
This trilogy will always have a place in my heart. And I look forward to reading what Lauren Roberts creates next.
A 5⭐️ book and a 5⭐️ series for me.

I think this is probably an excellent YA series but loses some magic for adult readers who grew up with lots of popular books in this genre.

My Summary: Kai and Paedyn are finally back in Ilya, but the pair still have many obstacles to overcome. Paedyn has a huge decision to make--does she choose love for herself? Or does she sacrifice her happiness for the good of the entire kingdom? But first, Paedyn will have to face trials and challenges more difficult than she's ever gone through before.
My Thoughts: Being the third book in this trilogy, Fearless does a decent job wrapping up Paedyn's, Kai's, and Kitt's stories. Book two, Reckless, left readers on a hell of a cliffhanger, and a majority of this book leaves you in suspense waiting to see what Paedyn will choose--her own happiness or the good of the kingdom.
My main disappointment is that we found out some interesting information towards the end of the book that we didn't really get to see the ramifications from.
Overall, Fearless was a lot of fun. You get plenty of banter and tension between Kai and Paedyn along with exciting action sequences. The stakes are higher than ever, and though the payoff is bittersweet, I am happy with the way it ended.
