This...was not what I expected. Would've given this 5 stars if the entire book was the Frugal Wizard handbook, but unfortunately we got the biggest loser of a narrator ever - the type of guy who says he's 'good with women' and exclaims 'hot damn' constantly. This book was annoying to read because his POV was awful, but then he'd do something clever and I'd just be annoyed that I couldn't appreciate it. The modern travellers were genuinely some of the worst people I've ever read. Also, I did not expect a romance, and as it was developing I wanted to scream at Sefawynn to run far, far away. Honestly such a shame because I loved the concept of buying your own alternative dimension and the ethical debates it could bring about.

What an original book! I had such a fun time reading this and enjoyed the humor. The world building was intricate as usual with Brandon Sanderson. This is definitely a good book to start getting into his works. I also loved the art and different handbook entries. Good redemption arc as well.

This book was really interesting, i liked the charcaters and it was a pretty easy read although occasionally I felt very bogged down by the details and names for things. It was a proper action story with lots of twists. It would make a phenomenal film, I liked the charcater arc and the ending. I really like Brandon sanderson and will definitely be picking up more of his books but with breaks in between.

This was my first Brandon Sanderson book. It was a funny medieval road trip with an interesting sci-fi fantasy vibe. I liked it and I am looking forward to reading more of Sanderson's work.
