It ended the series, finally. I was happy to get an actual ending and not a cliffhanger for yet another sequel.

The end to a long and suspenseful journey

I will admit, I cried at the end. This was a very interesting and unique world that was created, and a long bloody fight to the end. I really enjoyed it; the characters were so rich, I really cared about them and the impossible struggles they faced. It wasn't a fairy tale ending, but it felt right. Definitely worth the read.

And just like that, the story of the Queens of Fennbirn is over. And I’m sad.

In the final book in the Three Dark Crowns series, Arsinoe, Mirabella, Katherine and Legion Queen Jules must fight for the sake of Fennbirn. As the four women plot, plan and scheme for their final confrontation, all of them do so with heavy hearts. Who will survive?

I am so sad that this series is over but very glad I read it. I honestly had never heard of it before and kind of feel like a dodo for not reading it sooner. But not too much, though. Because I was lucky enough to read this series for the first time knowing absolutely nothing about it. I was introduced to the Triplet Queens and got to know and care for them. I laughed with them, cried with them and smiled as more than one of them found love. The final book was no different and wrecked my emotions as the final battle for the island drew ever closer.

I really hope this series is adapted into a television show because it would be epic if done properly. The characters are very well thought out and the gifts they have would make for great television.

I really hope Kendare Blake writes a complete novel or series about the Oracle Queen, as the novella in Queens of Fennbirn was just too short for my taste. I would love to see a novel about the Blue Queen, as well. Although the author touched on that story in Book Four, again it was just too short. Here’s hoping readers get those books in the future.
